Nutrition to Business: MinMin Kao and Raymond Liao Expand Across Health and Wellness Ventures

TAIPEI – More professionals are turning their expertise into business opportunities, and nutritionist MinMin Kao (Jing-Min) is among those leading the trend.

With more than one million followers across digital platforms, Kao has established a strong presence through nutrition education, media appearances, public speaking, and social media content. As a licensed nutritionist known for translating complex health concepts into practical and accessible advice, she has become a recognizable figure in the health and wellness industry. In addition to her work as a nutritionist, Kao has also taken on multiple roles as an author, university lecturer, and brand founder.

Now, she is expanding beyond her original field.

Together with entrepreneur Raymond Liao (Po-Yu), Kao has built a portfolio of approximately 10 businesses across sectors including nutrition products, medical aesthetics, pet care, and healthcare-related services.

One of the key developments is the launch of the “MinVita Low-Calorie Meal Series,” a product line developed in response to growing concerns about nutritional imbalance in modern lifestyles. Designed to provide low-calorie, nutrient-dense, and instant meal options, the product quickly gained attention among consumers seeking healthier and more convenient dining solutions.

Kao has also contributed to the development of “NutriMin,” a pet nutrition line created from both a scientific perspective and her own experiences as a pet owner. The products focus on improving palatability and nutrient absorption through carefully designed formulations intended to support pets’ daily nutritional needs.

Their business expansion also includes Bella Aesthetic Clinic in Taipei, where Kao serves as a co-founder and contributes nutritional expertise to pre- and post-treatment planning. Beyond aesthetics, she is involved as a shareholder, board member, and advisor in pet-related businesses including Azabu Animal Hospital and Le Paws Pet Grooming, where she collaborates with veterinary professionals on nutrition-related initiatives.

Another component of their broader strategy is the White Coat Alliance, a healthcare-focused business and talent platform connecting doctors, pharmacists, and nutritionists through branding, content partnerships, and professional collaboration. Kao also participates in projects designed to help healthcare professionals communicate health information in a more accessible way through interdisciplinary cooperation and content development.

The transition from professional work to entrepreneurship has not come without challenges, Kao said. Beyond adapting to changing market conditions and building vertically integrated business structures, she noted that balancing multiple responsibilities has required continuous adjustment.

As a female entrepreneur, Kao said she has also faced the challenge of balancing career and family responsibilities while navigating different roles and priorities. She added that support from mentors and business partners has played an important role throughout the process.

Looking ahead, Kao said she plans to continue developing her work in nutrition while exploring collaborations across industries, with the goal of making healthy living not only a concept, but also a practical and accessible part of everyday life.
